The Chakra Chart of Spiritual Energy

The chakra chart is a pictorial reference of the human energetic system. This system is mainly composed of a vertical axis which runs through our spine from the perineum up to the top of our head.

Along this axis, at different levels, there are seven energy centres (named chakras) that represent our link to the "reality" and the universe(s). In simple terms, these energy centres have two parts, receptive and controlled, and these can be referenced as follows (starting from the base of the perineum upwards:

The root chakra or Muladhara, indicates a receptiveness to material physical energy and its controlled side is stability.

The sexual chakra or Swadisthana has a receptiveness to sociability and sexual potential, with its controlled side being seduction and sexual energy control.

The solar chakra or Manipura is what gives you self confidence. The controlled side gives you will power, perseverance and charisma.

The heart chakra or Anahata is what you like and love received. The controlled side is love emitted.

The throat chakra or Visshuda gives passive intuition. The controlled side is active intuition and contact to other worlds.

The forehead chakra or Ajna gives mental interest, analysis and memory. The controlled side gives logics, mental creativity and synthesis.

The crown chakra or Sahasrara is receptive to transcendence - it is a link to the spiritual worlds, to GOD.

The planets are said to influence the chakras as well, so astrology can be said to have an important part to play in the chakras. For example, Mars is said to influence energy, dynamism, activity on that level and courageous friends on the receptive side. Courage, dynamic action and good energetic control are on the controlled side.
